This piece comes from a love of thunderstorms. One single lighting bolt streaking across the backdrop of ominous dark clouds reminds me of the duality of nature. It can be both beautiful and terrifying. Gentle and harsh. The lighter fluffier clouds promise an end to the storm, that this too shall pass. We can marvel in it’s magnificence of the moment and let it remind us that everything is fleeting and nothing is permanent.
This painting is a 9”x 12” water soluble oil on cradled panel. The paint is sealed with a protective varnish. This does not come framed and comes installed with hanging wire on the back, ready to hang in the space of your choosing.
